Many of you have contacted us after we sent this statement expressing your support on the issue of climate change and the upcoming Climate Action Summit. There was also a feeling that the start of this Summit should be marked by a staff gathering, particularly as events outside of the Palais are difficult for staff to participate in.
To this end we are organising a short gathering this Monday 23 September at 12, in Hall 14. There will be brief statements reaffirming our support as international civil servants for the Secretary-General’s efforts to accelerate climate action, leading by example. Participants will be invited to contribute views.
This will also be an opportunity to show staff engagement with climate action. A group picture will be taken with us upholding posters calling for #ClimateAction and #ActNow. Please print this poster and bring it with you.
You will also find an #ActNow banners of commitment at Doors 39 and 40 where all staff are invited to write down your own climate action commitments where space is available, as a sign of support for the Climate Action Summit.

Plusieurs d’entre vous nous ont contactés suite à cette déclaration pour exprimer votre soutien à la question du changement climatique et au prochain Sommet sur l’action pour le climat. Nous estimons que l’ouverture du Sommet devrait être marquée par un rassemblement du personnel d’autant plus qu’il est difficile de prendre part aux événements qui ont lieu à l’extérieur.
A cette fin, nous organisons un rassemblement le lundi 23 septembre à 12 heures dans le Hall 14. Des déclarations brèves seront prononcées afin d’exprimer notre soutien en tant que fonctionnaires internationaux aux efforts déployés par le Secrétaire général pour accélérer le rythme des actions prises en faveur du climat. Si vous le souhaitez, vous pourrez partager vos points de vue.
Ce rassemblement nous permettra de montrer l’engagement du personnel de l’ONUG en faveur de l’action pour le climat. Vous êtes invités à imprimer l’affiche suivante afin que vous puissiez la montrer dans la photo de groupe qui sera prise.
Une banderole Agissons sera disponible aux portes 39 et 40 et les fonctionnaires pourront y inscrire leurs engagements en faveur du climat. Cela enverra un signal de soutien au Sommet sur l’action pour le climat.
